1. Introduction
These terms of service apply to all services provided by Guldtid AB. By ordering or using our services, a binding agreement is created between you as a customer and Guldtid AB. By placing the order, you confirm that you have read and accept the terms.
The terms may be updated, and the latest version is always available on our website.
2. About our services
Guldtid AB offers companionship services for everyone who wants more presence, security, and social interaction. We match each customer with a Golden Friend – our term for the personal, trained companionship person who is there to provide security, presence, and joy in everyday life – based on needs, wishes, and availability. Guldtid's services may qualify as household services under the RUT deduction, please read more at the Swedish Tax Agency: Swedish Tax Agency RUT deduction.
Note: We do not offer moving, taxi, or cleaning services. We do not offer medical care and nursing or similar. However, our services can complement care and nursing provided by municipalities and regions.

Examples of services we do not offer:
- Personal hygiene
- Physical care, including help with mobility
- Medication or medical care
- Cleaning, moving help, or similar
- Financial or legal advice
- Transport with public transport or taxi (the Golden Friend can accompany as a guide or companion, but we are not a taxi service)
The examples above are not exhaustive. Guldtid always reserves the right to determine which services can be performed within the scope of the business.
3. Booking & Availability
You can book services as individual visits or as part of a subscription. Time, location, and Golden Friend are confirmed in writing or by phone. Confirmation via email or SMS constitutes a binding booking.
Guldtid reserves the right to replace the Golden Friend if needed, after dialogue and approval from the customer, as we cannot guarantee that the same Golden Friend will be available over time. Availability may be limited during major holidays and vacation periods.
4. Prices & Payment
Price list
Current prices are listed on our website. Payment is made in advance monthly for the number of hours included in your subscription.
If you do not use all hours in a month, Guldtid offers two alternatives:
- Unused hours are carried over to the following month
- The monthly fee is reduced the following month by the corresponding amount for unused hours
Unused hours can be carried over or replaced one (1) month forward. After that, they expire.
Billing
Billing occurs monthly with 10 days payment terms. For late payments, default interest and reminder fees may be charged according to applicable law and the terms applied by our billing partner.
RUT deduction
RUT deduction is applied automatically when you are eligible. We reserve the right to invoice the full price if the Swedish Tax Agency does not approve the deduction – for example, if you have already used up your RUT deduction for the year. Cancellation and missed visits
Missed visits or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full.
Price adjustments
For price changes, you will be informed at least 30 days in advance before the adjustment takes effect.
Subscriptions
There is the possibility to pause subscriptions for 1 month on one occasion per year. For subscriptions with monthly payment, there is a 1-month notice period. Prepaid annual subscriptions are not refunded if the customer cancels or cannot use the remaining period, except for special reasons such as death or illness that makes it impossible to continue using the service.
Extra fees
Any extra fees, e.g., for special add-on services or changes outside the regular schedule, are communicated clearly in advance before billing occurs.
Costs for activities
Costs in connection with joint activities, such as coffee, entrance fees, or local transport, are discussed together with the customer before the service begins.

5. Cancellation & Termination
You can cancel or pause your service at any time with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations must be made in writing via email or SMS.
Guldtid may terminate services immediately under circumstances, for example, but not limited to:
- Unsafe environments or behaviors
- Repeated missed visits or abuse of the service
- Attempts to hire Golden Friends privately outside Guldtid's system
The examples above are not exhaustive. Guldtid may also terminate services for other serious circumstances that affect security, trust, or contract compliance.
If services are terminated due to these or similar reasons, no refund will be made.
For circumstances that constitute breach of contract, legal consequences may become relevant, please read more under section 10.
Guldtid also has the right to terminate the agreement with certain notice periods for reasons other than breach of contract, for example, during business changes.
6. Customer behavior
By using our services, you commit to following good practice and showing respect in cooperation. This means, for example, but is not limited to, that you should:
- Treat all staff and Golden Friends with respect and kindness
- Not offer cash, gifts, or similar directly to a Golden Friend (Golden Friends may not receive gifts from customers)
- Not take initiative to contact Golden Friend outside Guldtid's system
- Not request that a Golden Friend perform tasks or activities that fall outside Guldtid's services
- Ensure that the visit location is safe, secure, and accessible
The examples above are not exhaustive. Guldtid reserves the right to determine whether the customer's behavior is compatible with our values and terms.
Unacceptable behavior – such as offensive language, threats, or disrespectful treatment – is not tolerated and may lead to immediate termination of the service. This also applies to illegal actions, which may be handled legally.

Note: The same expectations for respectful and correct behavior naturally also apply to Guldtid's staff and Golden Friends.
7. Privacy & Data
Guldtid protects your personal data in accordance with GDPR.
We only collect what we need to match and manage your visits. Your information is stored securely. You can at any time request access, correction, or deletion of your information. See our complete Privacy Policy here: Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
Guldtid is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or losses that occur due to health conditions, accidents, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not offer home care or medical services. You are responsible for offering a safe and appropriate environment during visits. If security problems arise, Guldtid reserves the right to terminate the service, inform relatives, or if necessary, contact relevant authorities.
Guldtid's liability is in all cases limited to direct damage and to an amount corresponding to what the customer has paid for the current service. We are not responsible for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits.
9. Force Majeure
Guldtid is not responsible for missed or delayed services due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, government decisions, technical failures, strikes, or similar circumstances (so-called force majeure).
10. Applicable law and legal consequences
Guldtid's terms of service and agreements between Guldtid and customer are governed by Swedish law.
Disputes should primarily be resolved through dialogue and in a spirit of respect, care, and common sense, in line with Guldtid's values and culture.
To protect both customers and staff, Guldtid assumes that the relationship is characterized by mutual respect and good cooperation. Unacceptable behavior, such as offensive language, threats, harassment, or disrespectful treatment of staff, is not tolerated.
The following may constitute breach of contract and lead to services being terminated immediately and legal measures being taken, for example, but not limited to:
- Breach of written agreement or contract with Guldtid
- Illegal behavior or violation of Swedish law
- Attempts to circumvent Guldtid's system, for example, by hiring or engaging Golden Friends privately
- Unsafe environments or situations that jeopardize the safety of Golden Friends or customers
- Repeated missed visits or abuse of the service
The examples above are not exhaustive. Other actions or omissions that constitute breach of these terms, applicable law, or good practice may also constitute breach of contract.
In case of breach of contract or illegal behavior, Guldtid has the right to terminate services immediately without refund and, if necessary, take legal measures in accordance with Swedish law.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through dialogue, the matter may be referred to the General Complaints Board (ARN) or decided by a Swedish general court.
If any provision in these terms is deemed invalid, it does not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
11. Right of withdrawal under the Distance Contracts Act
If you order our services at a distance (via email, phone, or web), you have the right to withdraw your purchase within 14 days from the order.
If you want the service to begin during the withdrawal period, you must explicitly request this. You are then aware that you may become liable to pay for the part of the service that has already been performed, even if you later regret it.
